Ever wanted to learn how to skateboard? Or want to improve your skills? Over the next few months YMCA HQ, with the support of Department of Sport and Recreation are holding FREE skateboarding workshops at skate parks across the state.

There will be three courses held at each workshop, two aimed at beginner skaters and one for skaters at an intermediate level. Each workshop goes for 2 hours and skaters from the GMTA team will be teaching you the tips and tricks that you want to learn!

The next five workshops have been confirmed:

YMCA Serpentine - Saturday 28th of August (portable skate equipment)
Perry Lakes Skate Park - Saturday 11th of September
Mosman Park Skate Park - Saturday 18th of September
YMCA Morley - Monday 27th of September (portable skate equipment)

The workshops are suitable for boys and girls aged between 6 and 18. Even those that have never stepped on a skateboard are encouraged to come along. YMCA HQ can lend you a board and helmet if you need one, simply let us know when you register.
