The Chopping Block

Photobucket

The Butcher Shop have teamed up with the Norfolk Lanes Youth Festival to organise a temporary group art exhibition – The Chopping Block, as part of the festivities on November 13.

They have selected fourteen extremely talented, young, local artists to participate, some names you probably recognise and some equally awesome first-time-exhibitors. They are:

Aidan White
Amok Island
Ash Reader
Cheeks
Daek
Dave Misled
David Manea
Deathbot
Michael Katchan
Mitchell Page
Mow Skwoz
Patrick Leonard O’Brien
Yohyo
Vader

The Norfolk Lanes Youth Festival is in it’s second year and is part of the bigger Fremantle Festival. Activities on the day include live graffiti, live music, skating demonstrations, market stalls and heaps more. Have a look at their Facebook page or Myspace for locations and the complete lineup.

The gallery will be located in the big marquee on Essex Street, come early to have a gander and perhaps pick up a piece of art to take home.

It all happens on Saturday the 13th November from 12pm – 7pm.
